The BCCI is considering hosting the IPL in September-October. However, they will have to wait until the official decision to cancel this year's T20 World Cup at the same time. The ICC has not yet made a final decision on the event, but a decision could be made on Monday. The 13th edition of the Indian franchise-based T20 tournament was scheduled to take place in April. Due to the Cavid-19 epidemic, it was initially postponed for a certain period of time, and then indefinitely. Several international tours of India have also been postponed. The BCCI's Apex Council meeting will discuss the possible date of the IPL, the schedule of domestic cricket and the international tour in a video conference on Friday, PTI reported. Meanwhile, India's tour of Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe and the series with England on home soil have been postponed.

"Of course, in the case of the APL, all the options have to be considered. India will be considered first, but it is not certain what the situation will be like. Of course, the UAE and Sri Lanka are options, but in those cases the cost will go up a lot, I think our president has said the same thing recently, ”an official of the BCCI, who did not want to be named, told PTI. The cricket boards of Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates have already proposed to the BCCI to host the IPL. Earlier, the IPL had a record of being outside India, with South Africa hosting the entire 2009 national election and the first half of 2014 in the United Arab Emirates.

"I don't think we are in a position to fix the venue yet. But with the plan and the decision to cancel the ICC T20 World Cup next week, we can move on to finding a window for hosting the IPL, ”the official said. Another major topic of discussion in this meeting with the IPL was tax-related issues. The ICC has threatened to withdraw the 2021 Twenty20 World Cup from India due to lack of permission from the central government. For now, the BCCI has been given until December to resolve the issue. In the case of international series, the BCCI wants to host the series with England after the Test series in February instead of September. In that case the number of five Tests may be reduced and limited overs matches may be added. They also have to reschedule their tour of Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka.
