Mashrafe bin Mortuza, left-arm spinner Nazmul Islam Apu and batsman Nafis Iqbal have been attacked in Covid -19.

Narail 2 MP and former Bangladesh captain Mashrafe bin Mortuza attacked by corona. On Saturday afternoon, it was confirmed that he had tested positive for the virus.

Mortaza posted about testing positive on his Facebook page on Saturday evening local time saying:  "Today my result is COVID-19 positive. Everyone will pray for me so that I can recover very soon. The number of victims has exceeded one lakh. We all need to be more careful now. Not everyone leaves the house unnecessarily. I am currently taking treatment from home and following the necessary rules and regulations. Awareness needs to be raised, not panic about corona".

He had been suffering from fever for the last two days and was tested on Saturday. The result of being attacked has come today. His sample will be tested again to be more sure. He currently has isolation in his home in the capital. Earlier, Mashrafe's mother-in-law and his wife's elder sister were attacked by Corona. They are being treated at a hospital in Dhaka. However, it is learned that Mashrafe did not come in contact with them. He went to Narail several times to help people in his chosen area after the outbreak of the corona virus. Returning from there, he was in quarantine in a separate house in Dhaka for two weeks.

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Cricket Board was shocked by Mashrafe's news. Akram Khan, chairman of the BCB's cricket operations committee, said, "I am very shocked and all the cricket players in Bangladesh along with me because he has done a lot for Bangladesh cricket. But my only belief is that he has done so much for Bangladesh and worked so hard 24 hours a day for the people of Narail, so with our prayers and the blessings of all, by the grace of God, he will get better. And if he needs any help then we are here and there are members of the whole BCB.
